This medallion symbolizes the journey of recovery through Alcoholics Anonymous, honoring its founders, Bill Wilson and Dr. Bob. It is a tribute to the men who established the foundation for a life-changing program.
On the front of the medallion, you’ll find detailed busts of Bill and Dr. Bob set against our AA triangle. Surrounding the image are the number of years of sobriety and an inscription that reads “unity, service, recovery,” all encircling a motif of elegant foliage. The reverse side of the medallion bears the phrase “to thine own self be true” on the outer edge, with the powerful words, “Rarely have we seen a person fail who has thoroughly followed our path,” positioned inside the AA triangle.
